3-Day Beginner Ski Package
About this package
Three days is enough to find out whether skiing suits you, without booking a full week you may not need. Most guests arrive having never worn a ski boot in their life. By the third afternoon they are usually linking turns down the nursery slope without anyone holding on. This course will not turn you into a confident skier, that honestly takes longer, but it will tell you whether you want to come back and do the longer course next season. You get one private instructor for the whole trip rather than a group class, and your equipment, lift passes and daily transport between the hotel and the slopes are already covered. The trip runs 4 days in total once you count arrival and departure.
Pricing is built around the equipment you already own. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and receive a quotation.
Day wise itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and introduction
Airport pickup, hotel check in, then a proper boot and ski fitting. Badly fitted boots are the single biggest reason a first ski trip feels miserable, so we take our time here. You meet your instructor, go through the gear, and cover basic mountain safety before anyone steps on snow.
Day 2: Ski fundamentals
Balance and stance, walking and sliding on flat ground, the snowplough position, and stopping on command. Stopping matters more than anything else you will learn this week. First runs happen on the beginner lift near the base.
Day 3: Building confidence
Controlled turns, speed control, and joining turns together instead of doing one and then resetting. Your instructor pulls back a little here so you get real practice on your own rather than just following someone down the hill.
Day 4: Departure
Breakfast, check out, and transfer to the airport.

Frequently asked questions
Is 3 days really enough to learn skiing?
It is enough to learn the fundamentals and decide if you want to continue. You will not leave skiing blue runs independently. Most people who enjoy the 3 day course come back for the 5 or 7 day one, and the time here is not wasted because you skip the basics next time.
I have never skied before. Will I hold anyone back?
No, because there is nobody else in your class. The instructor works with you alone, so the pace is whatever your legs can handle that day.
What if I fall a lot on day one?
You will fall. Everyone does. The beginner slopes are in Gulmarg itself, at around 2650m, on gentle terrain right by the resort. The steeper runs start much higher up at Kongdoori, the Gondola's Phase 1 mid station at about 3050m, so falling down here is a soft and fairly boring experience.
Do I need to bring ski clothing?
Jackets, ski pants, thermal layers, gloves, goggles and warm socks are not part of the standard package. Bring your own or ask us about the clothing add on when you book.
Can I upgrade to a longer course after I arrive?
Sometimes, depending on instructor availability and hotel bookings for that week. Tell us as early as you can and we will check what is possible.
