What this covers

This explains what personal information we collect when you enquire about or book a guiding day, lesson or package with us, why we need it, and who else sees it.

What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and country of residence.
  • Booking details: travel dates, the package you chose, group size, your ability on snow, and any medical or fitness information that matters for guiding you safely.
  • Identity documents: a copy of a government issued photo ID where your package includes accommodation or a permit requires one.
  • Payment information: handled through bank transfer, UPI or PayPal. We do not store full card numbers ourselves. All amounts are in INR.
  • Website data: pages visited, general location and device or browser type, collected by analytics tools when you browse gulmargskiguides.com.

What we do with it

We use it to confirm and run your booking, to plan your days around your ability and any health details you have shared, and to stay in touch before and during your trip. If you have said yes to it, we also send occasional news about future seasons.

We do not sell your personal information.

Anti-Spam Protection

To protect our enquiry forms from spam, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. As a condition of enabling invisible mode, we reference Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Turnstile may collect session data, device characteristics, and IP addresses to verify that you are a real user.

Who we share it with

Only the people needed to run your trip. That means accommodation and transport partners when your package includes them, payment processors to move the money, and government authorities where the law requires it.

We do not pass your details to anyone for their own marketing.

Storage and security

We keep booking records for as long as we need them to run your trip and meet our accounting and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them. We take sensible steps to protect what we hold, though no online system is ever completely secure.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies and analytics tools to see how visitors use the site and where it can be better. You can turn cookies off in your browser, though parts of the site may not work as they should after that.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Just get in touch.

Children

Our services are for adults booking for themselves and their group, including children who are learning to ski. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children beyond what a parent or guardian gives us as part of a family booking.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices or the law change.
