7-Day Freeride Ski Package

7 days on snow 8 days total Skiing Advanced

About this package

Two extra days over the 5 day trip buys margin, and margin is what makes a freeride week work. Margin for a weather day. Margin for a bad snow morning your guide decides to sit out rather than force. Margin for the zones that only open up once your guide has watched you ski for a few days and knows what you can handle. This is lift accessed off piste in real avalanche terrain, built for skiers who are already confident on piste. A week is long enough that a single flat light day does not ruin the trip. The trip runs 8 days in total with arrival and departure.

Pricing is built around the equipment you already own. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and receive a quotation.

Day wise itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, fitting and avalanche briefing

Equipment fitting and a full avalanche safety and beacon search briefing before anyone leaves the base.

Day 2: Warm up runs and terrain assessment

Easier off piste lines while your guide reads the snowpack and assesses your skiing.

Day 3: Powder skiing off Phase 1

Steeper and deeper lines within the lower Gondola terrain, guided run by run.

Day 4: Phase 2 terrain

Higher terrain off Phase 2, with the guide setting the pace and the line.

Day 5: High alpine freeride routes

Longer routes toward the bowls around Apharwat Peak, snow and weather permitting.

Day 6: Weather margin day

Held loosely. If a storm rolls in, your guide uses lower terrain or calls a rest day. If the snow is good, this becomes another full day out.

Day 7: Best snow, guide's call

Your guide picks the day's zone from overnight snowfall and stability. The best skiing of the week often lands here.

Day 8: Departure

Breakfast and airport transfer.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose seven days over five?

Weather. Five days can be unlucky. Seven days almost always contains at least two or three genuinely good ones, and it gives your guide the freedom to skip a poor day rather than ski it because the clock is running.

Does the extra time mean better terrain?

Usually yes. Guides open up more committing terrain once they have seen how a group skis in real conditions, and that takes a few days.

What is a weather margin day?

A day left deliberately flexible in the plan. It is not a rest day by default. It exists so your guide can move the good skiing to when the snow is good rather than to whichever day the brochure said.

Do I ski every day?

That is the plan, but conditions and fatigue both get a vote. Skiing powder for seven days straight is hard work and most guests are glad of one shorter day.

Can I bring my own skis?

Yes. Freeride ski equipment is included in the package, but if you prefer your own setup, tell us before booking so we can adjust the quotation around what you are bringing.
