3-Day Beginner Snowboard Package
About this package
Three days on a board is enough to get past the awkward toe side and heel side stage and start joining basic turns together. The first day is rough for almost everyone, and that is normal rather than a sign you are doing something wrong. Snowboarding front loads the pain and then gets good quickly, which is the opposite of skiing. By the end of day three most guests are sliding down the beginner slope under control instead of fighting the board. You get one private instructor for the whole trip, along with equipment, lift passes and daily transport. The trip runs 4 days in total with arrival and departure.
Pricing is built around the equipment you already own. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and receive a quotation.

Frequently asked questions
Is snowboarding harder to learn than skiing?
The first day is harder. After that it usually evens out and many people find snowboarding progresses faster in the middle stretch. Skiing feels easier on day one and gets fiddly later.
How much will I fall?
A lot, on day one especially. Wrist guards and padded shorts are worth bringing if you have them, and most riders find day two considerably kinder than day one.
Should I book more than three days?
If you already know you want to learn snowboarding properly, yes, the 5 or 7 day course is a better use of the trip. Three days suits people who want to try it before committing to a longer holiday.
Do I need to be able to skateboard or surf?
It helps a little with balance but it is not required. Plenty of people who have never stood sideways on anything learn fine.
Is the beginner terrain separate from the advanced runs?
Yes. The beginner slopes are in Gulmarg itself at around 2650m, and you do not need a Gondola pass to use them. The advanced terrain sits well above you, starting at Kongdoori, the Phase 1 mid station at about 3050m, and going higher again to Phase 2 and the off piste zones.
