10-Day Beginner Snowboard Package
About this package
The complete programme for riders who want to go from their first strap in to confident blue run riding, with carved turns introduced toward the end. Ten days is long enough that the board stops being something you manage and starts being something you use. The course finishes with an assessment so you leave knowing exactly where your riding stands and what to practise next. You have one private instructor throughout, and equipment, lift passes and daily transport are included. The trip runs 11 days in total with arrival and departure.
Pricing is built around the equipment you already own. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and receive a quotation.

Frequently asked questions
What does carving actually mean on a snowboard?
Riding on the edge of the board so it cuts a clean arc, rather than sliding the tail around to change direction. It is faster, smoother, and it is the difference between getting down a run and riding it well.
Is ten days too much for a first trip?
It is a serious commitment and not everyone needs it. If you plan to keep snowboarding for years, ten days now saves you several frustrating short trips later.
Do I ride every single day?
Riding is scheduled daily, but your instructor adjusts the length and intensity. Nobody learns well on a body that has had enough.
Will I be ready for off piste terrain after this?
Not for Gulmarg's off piste, which is avalanche terrain and needs a guide, avalanche gear and real experience. This course prepares you well for groomed terrain at most resorts.
Can I do this course with a friend who is skiing?
Yes. You will be taught separately since the techniques are different, but you can stay at the same hotel, travel together and meet up on the slopes.
